Checkups
Your checkup will include a comfortable tooth-decay screening with DIAGNOdent, a laser that finds cavities in the earliest stage. Dr. Ryan will also inspect your gum tissue for signs of disease and oral cancer. He'll discuss your oral health history and ask about your reason for visiting us. If necessary, we may take new X-rays and/or digital photographs of your smile. Dr. Ryan will evaluate your case then talk with you about treatment options. Feel free to ask questions. The more you understand, the better equipped you'll be to choose treatment that best suits your lifestyle and goals.
Cleanings
Visit us for a dental hygiene appointment, a cleaning, every six months. Most patients schedule cleanings and checkups at the same time for convenience sake. At your appointment, our hygienist will gently, thoroughly remove plaque, tartar, and food particles from on and between your teeth. She may recommend simple tips for more effective brushing and flossing, as well. If you have questions about your daily care, the hygienist will be happy to provide easy-to-understand answers.
Children's Dentistry
The Lasting Impressions Dental Care team wants to help your children build a solid foundation for a lifetime of great oral health. One great way we promote a healthy smile is by teaching proper brushing and flossing techniques to children, as well as adults. We'll also be happy to answer any questions and help you make the most of your oral homecare routine. To deter tooth decay, Dr. Ryan may recommend dental sealants and fluoride treatments.
